Congratulations to the Okefenokee RESA Young Georgia Authors winners for 2021!
Grace Jones, 3rd grade author from Folkston Elementary School submitted the Okefenokee RESA winning publication of "Ernie the Ostrich."
In addition, Charlton County High School award winning author Emilee Zetmeir, was the 10th grade OKRESA winner for her piece titled "November 3rd."
Okefenokee Regional Educational Services Agency (OKRESA) serves nine school districts in South Georgia and sponsors the annual Young Georgia Authors Competition.
All system (county) level winners move on to compete against the eight surrounding counties' winners within the Okefenokee RESA area. Then the OKRESA Competition winners move on to the state level contest.
This is an exceptional accomplishment for Grace and Emilee as they have been named the grade level winners for our entire nine county area (Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Clinch, Coffee, Pierce, and Ware).
Great Work, Authors! Good luck to Grace and Emilee as you move on to compete in the state level competition.
