Based on the latest briefing provided by the National Weather Service for our area regarding Tropical Storm Debby, Charlton County Schools will be closed Monday, August 5th and Tuesday, August 6th for all students and staff. The potential for tropical storm force winds as early as Monday morning and through Tuesday morning, as well as the potential for major flooding the next two days has led to this decision, as student safety is our top priority. We plan to have our first day of school for students on Wednesday, August 7th. If any further changes or cancellations are needed, we will provide updates via text messaging, our website, and Facebook.

As soon as I have something to share about Monday, I will let you know. There has been some discussion but nothing decided at this point. There is another briefing at 1:30.
