NEW IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY INTO 7TH GRADE
ALL UPCOMING 7TH GRADERS MUST HAVE A
Tdap(tetanus; diphtheria; pertussis) VACCINE
and a MENINGICOCCAL CONJUGATE VACCINE
IN ORDER TO ENTER THE 7TH GRADE.
ANY STUDENT WITHOUT AN UPDATED IMMUNIZATION CERTIFICATE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE 7TH GRADE. PLEASE FOLLOW-UP WITH THE CHARLTON COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT (1-855-473-4374) OR YOUR PHYSICIAN CONCERNING THIS MATTER.

We were so pleased to announce yesterday that parents WILL be allowed to attend our award ceremonies.
Our 2021 Awards Day Ceremonies will be at the following dates/times:
4th/5th Grade Awards Day -- Wednesday, May 19th at 8:30 am
6th/7th Grade Awards Day--Thursday, May 20th at 8:30 am
8th Grade Awards Day--Friday, May 21st at 8:30 am
Please follow the guidelines below to ensure maximum safety:
--Please do not attend if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 within the last 48 hours
--Please make sure you make all efforts to social distance
--If you are sick, please do not attend
--All visitors will enter and exit through the gym entrance
--Visitors will not be permitted to go back into the school to classrooms with students
--If you wish to check your child out after the awards day ceremony there will be sign-out sheets available after the ceremony

Per permission from our District Office, we will allow parents to attend our Awards Day Ceremonies. Details will be forthcoming. Please remember that it is imperative that we make efforts to social distance during the event. Spectators/visitors are not allowed to go back to the classrooms with students or elsewhere in the school. Spectators/Visitors are only permitted to go to the gym for the assembly. You will enter and exit through the gym entrance only.

Please join us for our virtual Spring Input Meeting on 4/29. Parents will receive a link which will give detailed information on how to review a number of documents relating to school improvement and Title I budgeting. Once the information has been reviewed, parents will be asked to complete a survey. Please be on the lookout for this important information.

FES: Pre-K registration is Tuesday, April 27. From 9 o'clock until 12 o'clock.Please bring your child so the dental, hearing and vision and nutrition screening can be completed.

Tomorrow, we will continue with the Georgia Milestones Test and continue to test through April 30th. As a reminder, students are not allowed to have cell phones or any electronic devices in the test environment. These items will be removed from the classroom until a parent comes to pick them up.
Also, please make sure students bring the appropriate materials to school during testing days, eat a good breakfast, and get a good night's sleep.
ATTENDANCE is very important!!! We need ALL students in school EVERY DAY during testing.

Important Announcement:
It has been our policy for the 2020-2021 school year that no outside breakfast or lunch foods can be brought into the school. Of course, packed lunches are acceptable however, fast food cannot be brought in from outside and eaten throughout the school. Breakfast and lunch must be eaten in the lunchroom during designated breakfast and lunch times. If your student brings these items into the building they will be asked to throw them away. Please help us with this situation and we are sorry for any inconvenience.

On Thursday 2/18 at 6 p.m. we will conduct our virtual Title I Science Night. A presentation has been designed for students and parents to view. You will receive a text message/notification from the school with further instructions.

On Thursday 12/3 at 6 p.m. we will conduct our virtual Title I ELA Night. ELA teachers in each grade level have designed different presentations for students and parents to view. Tomorrow evening you will received a text message/notification from the school with further instructions.
