The BMS Braves Bulletin has been posted . Check out our amazing students of the week and our fantastic paraprofessionals. Fall Break for students begins on Monday, October 7, 2024. Students return to class on Monday, October 14, 2024.
The date to order Fall Pictures has been extended until Friday, October 4, 2024 at 3:30. Student received the order form last week. The order form has a picture preview to let you see how they turned out.
The Scholastic Book Fair is at BMS this week. Stop by the Media Center to see all of their great books! The Book Fair will be open through Friday, October 4, 2024.
Charlton County Schools will re-open for students and staff tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1. We understand that some families are still without power. For those that are still affected by the storm, please know that we understand and fully expect you to make taking care of your family your primary concern. For those that are able to attend, schools will be open on Tuesday. Stay safe!
Currently, about 30% of homes in Charlton County are without power, and cell service is nearly non-existent in many areas. For those reasons, Charlton County Schools will remain closed on Monday, Sept. 30 to provide an opportunity for power and communications to be restored.
Charlton County Schools will be closed for students and staff Thursday and Friday, September 26 and 27, due to potential impact from Hurricane Helene. The latest National Weather Service briefing indicated that Charlton County should prepare for Tropical Storm force winds as early as Thursday morning, with likely arrival between noon and 3 p.m. on Thursday. School will reopen Monday, September 30.

Please join us for our Annual Title I Meeting on Tuesday, 9/10 at 6 pm in the lunchroom at BMS. We will discuss what it means to be a Title I School, requirements of all Title I Schools, teacher qualifications, and, curriculum and assessments. We will also discuss school and district parent engagement plans and compacts, and family engagement opportunities. We hope to see you on 9/10 at 6 pm!
