Reminder to all students entering the 11th grade at CCHS- Students 16 or older entering the 11th grade must have the MCV4 vaccine to start the 11th grade. Please go ahead and call the Charlton County Health Department at (855)473-4374 to schedule your appointment. School starts on August 9th for students. Thank you.

CCHS Football Program Ads: Call Marcie at Brian Huling's State Farm office at 912-496-7351. The deadline is Friday, July 16th. Here are the prices to get in the program for the entire season.

Attention Seniors and Parents: It is now time to schedule your senior portraits through CADY. You must have your portrait taken by CADY to be in our yearbook. Take advantage of the limited time promotion to receive a free scene in June.

2021 Baseball Playoffs: We host the final 4 games on Saturday, May 15th. We play Metter Saturday at 3:30 pm and 6:00 pm. We will play Monday at 3:30 pm if needed. Come out and see some good baseball.
On Monday, April 26th, The Retired Teachers Association and the Charlton County Chamber of Commerce honored CCHS STAR student, Chelsea Thompson, and STAR teacher, Curt Hersey. We are proud of Chelsea and Mr. Hersey for receiving this honor! Additionally, we appreciate The Retired Teachers Association and Charlton County Chamber of Commerce for recognizing the individuals who are awarded the titles of STAR student and STAR teacher each year.
CCHS Student Ambassador Program: Congratulations to our CCHS Student Ambassadors and Ms. Tracy Willis. They are the winners of Region 1 Students Ambassador competition. There are only 13 regions in the entire state, and we won our region. Also, we finished 8th in the state. Team members are: Jolie Pickren, Chloe Morgan, Delaney Murrell, Shelby Bell, Anna Howard, Skyler Johnson, Emma Woolard, Sania Jordan, Ellie Murray, Gant Geiger, and Dylan McAlister. Attention Prom Students:
Please note that students attending prom must remain at school during their regular schedule on Friday. No student with a first block may arrive at school later than 9:00 a.m. No student with a fourth block may leave school before 2:30 p.m. We will hold a meeting with juniors and seniors attending prom on Friday, May 7th.. The prom will last from 7:30 p.m. until 11:30 p, m. on May 8th.
On Tuesday, May 4, 2021, GA Future Educators Signing Day was held at CCHS to recognize students who have been accepted into college and are planning to pursue a career in education. Three students participated this year. Katelyn Murray and Emma Harris will both be attending ABAC to major in Agricultural Education. Leah Boatright will be attending Valdosta State University to major in Music Education. Congratulations to these students! #gafutureeducator #gaeducatorssigningday21

Region 2-A Baseball Awards 2021: These awards are determined by the region's head baseball coaches. Congratulations to the individual players and to the entire team for winning the region championship.

Message of interest for FES: Pre-K registration is Tuesday, April 27. From 9 o'clock until 12 o'clock.Please bring your child so the dental, hearing and vision and nutrition screening can be completed.
Region 2-A Public Champions
CCHS is pleased to announce that Katy Ruth Huling is our 2021 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Huling has been teaching for 15 years. She has taught Georgia History, middle grades math, and high school math. She began her career at South Effingham Middle School (2006-2008), and she has also taught at Bethune Middle School (2010-2011) and Charlton County High School (2008-2010 / 2011 – present). She is a graduate of Charlton County High School and Georgia Southern University. She holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master’s degree in Middle Grades Education as well as an Education Specialist degree in Secondary Mathematics.
On top of teaching math at CCHS, Mrs. Huling is an advisor for the student council organization and the literary competition team. She also co-directs the spring musical each year and serves on our school leadership team.
Please help us congratulate Mrs. Huling on this honor.
We would also like to applaud the educators that have been selected as Teacher of the Year at our feeder schools. We realize that academic achievement is a group effort, and we want to thank the teachers at Folkston Elementary School (Valerie Gowen), Saint George Elementary School (Jade Olinto), and Bethune Middle School (Amy Bell) for helping pave the way for our students at CCHS.

PBIS NEWS: Seniors, please click the following link for information about the PBIS scholarship. The CCHS PBIS team will award four students with a $300 scholarship this year.
