The students in Spanish II enjoyed making, decorating, and breaking Cascarones in class on Friday, April 15th. Cascarones are eggs that have been emptied out and then filled with confetti. After they are decorated, they are broken over friends' heads'! Cascarones are used in different celebrations in Latin America, especially during Spring.

CCHS would like to give a HUGE shoutout to Ms. Sandy McDonald and Mr. Anthony Jackson for their generous Prom Angel donations to three students at CCHS. They work hard to fundraise throughout the year in order to provide prom essentials for these lucky students. In doing so, they honor the memory of their late daughter Coco. This is the third year of the Prom Angel program. Through this program, the students selected receive a prom gift bag including gift cards for attire, grooming, and dinner. This award helps to ease some of the financial burden that arise during senior year. Congrats to this year’s recipients: Asad Akbar, Sania Jordan, and Gabriela Pena Morales.

PLEASE SEE THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION SHARED BY MS. BROOKS REGARDING ELECTRONIC SIGN-OFF/COURSE REGISTRATION: As you all know, your courses were supposed to be approved as of today. Because this is the first time we have done electronic sign off, we have had some glitches. Since that is the case, we are extending the window to this Friday (4/22/22). We believe the issue to whether or not a parent has access is related to if they have an active account or not when the form was pushed out to the parent portal SO here is what you should do: If your parent was able to sign off: Congratulations! You have finished the process! If your parent was able to create a portal but was unable to access the form to sign off: Mrs. Yarbrough at the Board of Education office will push it out to your parent's portal again and they should be able to sign off by FRIDAY. If you log in and still don't have access, PLEASE EMAIL ME. I will then ask Mrs. Yarbrough to send the form directly to your parent's account. If your parent doesn't have an account yet: My records show that 140 9th, 10th and 11th grade students do not have an account linked to them. If you are one of those 140, you need to have your parent create a portal and then you will have to email me. I will then have the form pushed out to your account again. THEN your parent will have to log in again and complete the form. PLEASE let me know if you have questions. I am just an email away! crystalbrooks@charlton.k12.ga.us Infinite Campus Parent Portal Directions: https://5il.co/18zb4 Courseware Request Approval Instructions: https://5il.co/18zb6
