Our journalism teacher, Bruce Morgan, donated a yearbook for our PBIS team to give away to a student this year. Students were able to turn in tribe tokens to enter the give away. Imani Wooten was the recipient of the yearbook.

Yesterday, CCHS added a third senior baseball player to the list of students signed to play at the collegiate level! Please help us congratulate Sean Russell who will be attending Albany State University to play baseball!

The baseball state championship has been moved to 6:00 PM for the first game. That is moved back one hour from the original schedule. The second game will start around 8:30 PM. We would be home about 1:30-2:00 AM if we stay on schedule. This is a GHSA decision.
The fan bus will leave at 2:15 PM and return about 1:30-2:00 AM

This year, Herman Thomas Smith was the 10th grade winner for the Young Georgia Author competition in our county. Herman also went on to win the district competition with his story titled, A Meal at Balderdash. Please help us congratulate Thomas for his hard work! It's no surprise that we had two senior baseball players sign to play at the collegiate level this year! Please help us congratulate Wade Rodeffer who will be attending Albany State University to play baseball and Naaj'ee Smith who will be attending Methodist University to play both football and baseball.

Several members of the 22/23 varsity cheer squad (pictured below / missing cheerleader - Jessy Blackman) partnered with Ferst Readers last Wednesday to tidy the little libraries and restock registration forms in our local businesses that are participants of this program. 2022 Graduation Reminder: Friday, May 20, 2022
Practice at 8:30 AM- You must come to practice in order to walk at graduation.
Graduation at 7:30 PM- Seniors have to be there by 6:45 PM.

Fan Bus for Baseball State Championship- See Mrs. Yarbrough or Mrs. Phillips tomorrow and pick up your paperwork. The cost for the bus ride to Statesboro is only $10 cash. Do not bring your money until you have your signed paperwork. This does not include your game ticket. You have pay for your own game ticket. Do not miss our there are limited bus tickets available. If you have any questions check with Coach Phillips.

The CCHS boys golf team and Natalie Lynch are at Georgia Southern for the state golf match. The boys were runner up at the area tournament and Natalie was the low medalist girl from a team that did not qualify. The have been there since Sunday. This is a great experience for these students. Congratulations to these students and Coach Cisco.

National Librarian Appreciation Day was April 16th, but we appreciate Ms. Richard every day at CCHS! She provides technology assistance and reading recommendations, she instructs our students and staff on the importance of digital citizenship, and so much more! CCHS is lucky to have Ms. Richard!

Happy National School Nurse Day to the best school nurse, CNA Teacher, athletic trainer, and sunshine committee leader in the state. CCHS loves Mrs. Breanna Knowles.
